Michigan P.E.O. Fund, Inc.
In 1975 the Michigan P.E.O Fund, Inc. was started with the purpose of providing assistance to needy people throughout the state of Michigan. Sponsoring an applicant:
The first thing to know about applying to the PEO Fund is that all applicants must have a sponsor who is a Michigan PEO. An individual PEO can sponsor an applicant – it does not have to be approved by the chapter. In fact, if you are going to discuss an applicant with your chapter, you MUST have the applicant’s permission. All applicant information is highly confidential and personal. The Fund tries very hard to maintain confidentiality and to respect each individual and their dignity. Please help us in this endeavor.
To sponsor a person, you will need a copy of each of the forms below; there are four total. Please print out a copy, and give appropriate forms to the applicant to fill out. In addition, the sponsor is asked to write a letter to the Fund board outlining how you know the applicant and a description of their situation. Here are the forms to print out:
- Sponsor Letter
- Michigan P.E.O. Fund Agreement of Sponsor
- Michigan P.E.O. Application for Financial Aid
- Applicant's Financial Statement
Once the forms are filled out and signed, make a copy for yourself and send the originals to the MI P.E.O. Fund, Inc. chairman before the first of the months that the board meets. You can find the address of the chairman in the Michigan P.E.O. Fund Directory. If you have any questions regarding the application process, please feel free to call the chairman or other board member.
The chairman will contact you after the meeting to let you know the decisions made regarding your applicant.
